Position Overview
The
Contract Manager will work closely with Propio’s in-house legal department, assisting with a variety of tasks related to contract management, corporate compliance, and document organization. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects, coordinate with different departments, and support the company’s legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and edit contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents under the supervision of in-house counsel
- Organize, maintain, and update a centralized contract management system, ensuring all documents are easily accessible, accurately categorized, and up-to-date
- Support the contract lifecycle management process, including tracking contract status, monitoring renewals and expirations, and assisting with contract review and execution
- Conduct preliminary contract reviews to identify potential issues, key terms, and compliance requirements, escalating as needed to in-house counsel
- Assist in developing and standardizing contract templates and language to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, HR) to gather information necessary for drafting and finalizing contracts
- Provide administrative support for corporate governance activities, such as maintaining corporate records and preparing board meeting materials
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to contracts and record-keeping
- Manage filing and record-keeping systems, specifically focusing on contract files, to promote an organized and efficient working environment
- Coordinate and manage the collection, review, and production of documents for litigation or transactions
- File documents with courts, agencies, or clients as needed, following appropriate procedures
- Maintain and organize schedules, including court deadlines, meetings, and appointments
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing correspondence and scheduling
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role
- Strong writing skills
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems, specifically Word and Salesforce
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program
- Experience in sales or sales support roles
- Knowledge of e-filing procedures for court documents
