Alpha Language Services is a leading US-based company specializing in language solutions for diverse industries. We are currently seeking skilled and professional Chuukese-English interpreters and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to join our growing team.
Position: Chuukese-English Interpreter, Online/Remote
Job Description:
- Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between Chuukese and English.
- Assist clients in various settings such as medical, business, and social services.
- Handle calls and virtual meetings with a professional demeanor.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Chuukese and English (both verbal and written).
- interpretation experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with professional interpreter ethics and confidentiality.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Availability to work at least 5 hours/day, Monday-Friday, between 8 AM-6 PM EST.
Position: ASL Interpreter
Job Description:
- Facilitate communication between hearing individuals and Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing clients using American Sign Language.
- Accurately interpret in virtual settings such as meetings, or telehealth appointments.
- Adhere to interpreter ethics and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Certified ASL interpreter (RID, NIC, or equivalent preferred).
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and cultural competence.
- At least 1 year of interpretation experience (preferred).
- Reliable internet connection and webcam for virtual interpretation.
- Flexibility to work at least 5 hours/day, Monday-Friday, between 8 AM-6 PM EST.
