The Localization Senior Associate is a key part of the localization team, reporting to the Senior Localization Manager and sitting more broadly within the Digital Commerce team at RL EMEA. Managing a portfolio of projects and stakeholders within digital and beyond, to encompass marketing, media, stores, customer service, and more. As the localization team expands its service offering and languages, this is a new role to bring a competent expert in ecommerce localization to work on projects incorporating translation, review, PEMT, AI solutions, copywriting, keyword research, subtitling, and more.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead new and complex workflows and projects end-to-end, ensuring any new SOPs are documented, clearly communicated to project stakeholders and vendor teams. Maintain resource and cost oversight for areas within this scope.
- Manage available resources and support langauge teams in meeting deliverables by answering queries, setting deadlines and creating/maintaining supporting documents.
- Work with external linguists and vendors to develop and maintain established translation tools, workflow, style guides, glossaries for a clear and consistent approach.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and strategies to share localization achievements in the wider organization.
- Coach and support junior team members in localization best practices.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
The role is ideal for someone with experience in the localization industry whether vendor or client side. A second language besides English is an advantage.
The successful candidate will be equally skilled in explaining the complexities of localization clearly to marketers, developers, project managers etc. and also at understanding the details of localization strategy to set parameters for external vendors and linguists.
They should be confident in their decision making, balancing organizational goals of efficiency, budget, timing and quality.
Previous knowledge of ecommerce is a definite advantage.
