Description of Position
As a Senior Project Coordinator on the DTT Support team, your primary focus will be to coordinate the flow of information among different localization stakeholders, including client contacts as well as individual translators. In this role, you will be instrumental in the execution of this unique and highly specialized subtitling vendor program. You’ll be responsible for preventing risk by monitoring production day-to-day tasks, responding to escalations, and assisting team members to succeed. You will work cross functionally with Account Management, Linguistic Quality, Payments and Talent Acquisition team and help Deluxe continue to be a leader in the localization industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure swift response and action to client queries and escalations during your shift in the APAC time zone
- Complete daily tasks assigned on a rotation basis
- Facilitate clean handoffs to incoming shift
- Monitor other team members to ensure tasks are completed on time
- Reassign tasks as needed when team members are off
- Monitor the files due every day are delivered and the ones for the following day are on track
- Assist team members with procedural queries and mentor them to ensure team success
- Redact and update production documentation to ensure consistency in internal processes
- Assist other PCs when they have queries, doubts on workflows, etc.
- Prepare training sessions to brief PCs on best practices and process changes
- Prepare training refreshers for PCs to close knowledge gaps
- Collect platform enhancement suggestions and coordinate with client developer team for implementation
- Test new enhancements and flag roadblocks as needed to client developer team
- Contribute topics for discussion items in team meetings
- Actively participate in leadership meetings with all departments involved in the program
- Participate in collateral global projects to assist other Teams and share knowledge
- Help with the recruitment and training of new hires
- Escalate team issues as well as client concerns to Team Lead
The person
- Energetic and committed
- BA in media, communications or translation (or equivalent), MA in translation an advantage
- At least 3-year proven experience in editorial, translation or project management
- Background in film or audiovisual production an asset
- Extensive knowledge of localization
Competencies
- Practical knowledge of localization workflows, including subtitling and dubbing
- Excellent command of English, other languages an advantage
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal as well as external stakeholders
- With clear customer focus, the ability to identify and effectively communicate any issues in project assignments
- The ability to troubleshoot and effectively escalate any concerns
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities or changes in workflow
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-level projects and tasks
- The ability to engage with culturally diverse, distributed team
- Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good command of Microsoft Windows systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google G-Suite
