Country Manager-JP-Car Rental Business

Responsibilities:

Incorporating both Inbound and Outbound business operation in JP:
Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for Japan car rental business both inbound and outbound, including revenue management, cost control, marketing, budgeting, KPIs defining and tracking.
Responsible for business profit and loss both Inbound and Outbound business of JP.
Use data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, aiding in strategic decision-making.
Quickly and effectively identify the correct platform product for Japan as a destination and a source market to maximize the revenue and market share.
Market Analysis and Forecasting
Conduct research on car rental market trends in Japan, both as a source market and a destination.
Collaborate with the marketing team from HQ and local offices to develop tailored marketing strategies based on the unique demands and preferences of inbound and outbound JP markets.
Establish and maintain close relationships with local offices to gain marketing and branding resources and support for the car rental business.
Provide market insights to HQ to optimize product design and sales strategies for successful global product localization.
Supplier and Partner Management
Influencer to industry leaders.
Establish local supply chain development strategy and partnership strategy for JP.
Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers and partners.
Internal and External Collaboration
Collaborate with partners, cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure effective operation of local car rental business.
Team Management
Manage organization and talent development.
Optimize organization structure and ensure efficient staffing to develop a high-performing team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above, with over 8 years of senior management experience in local car rental or travel industry. Proven track of local car rental market operations, adept at summarizing methodologies.
Keen business acumen and strong strategic planning abilities, capable of leveraging resources and interpersonal skills to manage long-term partnerships with stakeholders.
Able to work and lead a team independently, having complete and strong ownership of your designated region.
Ability to identify, coach and manage talents, lead and motivate the team to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Fluent in Japanese, Business proficiency in English. Willing to travel (up to 40%), Japanese driver's license preferred.
