Core Responsibilities
Contribute towards creation of local digital marketing activations, crafting effective media plans, improving LEGO brand presence on owned digital platforms & driving traffic to retail partners by working together with Digital Marketing Manager. Key responsibilities
- Bring to life digital marketing strategies, including owned channel localization, social media campaign planning, influencer activities, paid media creative submission, landing page optimization and SEM with DMM
- Strengthen campaign plans from a digital standpoint by demonstrating digital expertise and audience-specific media insights
- Review & optimize media plans working with media agency of record and analyze campaign performance vs plan
- Prepare Digital Asset Management for campaigns and for distribution to agencies and distributor partners
- Collaborate strongly with multiple collaborators including internal Marketing teams, Sales teams, Global/APAC team and local partners to deliver assets localization and production for digital marketing activities
- Collaborate with Sales team (Branded channel, Mass retail and E-commerce) for retail media activation including retail engagement call out on digital platform and branded communication on retail media guided by DMM
- Collaborate with E-commerce team to algin on digital merchandise perspective
- Learn by benchmarking internally vs other business units & externally vs other brands

LEGO Japan is one of the key markets for APAC region of The LEGO Group. Our organization consists of Sales, Marketing, Operation, Finance and HR department, and the size of the organization is approximately 60 including temporary workers. Marketing team is made of 5 teams; Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Digital Marketing, PR & Partnership and Marketing Planning.
Trade Marketing team’s purpose is to drive sales performance through the best possible brand experience in retail, engaging and inspiring our shopper and consumers.
Do You Have What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or above, in marketing, business or other relevant area.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proven 4 - 5 years of ability in sales & marketing experience preferably in branded goods industry in categories such as Sports, Fashion/ Retail, FMCG, Snacks/Beverages
- Minimum of 2+ years working in non-traditional marketing inclusive of influencer, experiential, social commerce, content marketing, digital integration, etc
- 1+ years’ experience in digital marketing, in-house or agency facing to develop the asset for the retail and brand campaign
- 1+ Experienced in planning and buying digital media
- Relevant experience in paid media within digital, agency experience from upper funnels to middle/lower funnels, preferred
- Have strong understanding “Audience First” approaches and had experiences to drive the right digital initiatives. i
- Ability to champion advocacy and support for new ways of working
- Passion for new technologies, platforms, trends, etc
- Experience working in youth audiences a plus
- eCommerce experience or knowledge is preferable
- Strong capabilities to collaborate and influence internal cross-functions and external agencies to overcome obstacles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
- IT skills Excellent user of MS office tools is a requirement especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and collaborator leadership skills.
- Prior experience working in complex organizations with constraints on processes, resources and flexibilities
- Work independently and to collaborate with one team approach.
- Ability to think strategically while still focusing on immediate short term tasks
