The Role
The SAP Test Lead is responsible for leading the testing efforts for SAP implementation projects, ensuring the quality and reliability of SAP systems. This role involves planning, designing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, managing a team of testers, and collaborating with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality testing outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the testing activities for SAP implementation projects, including test planning, test case design, and test execution.
- Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to ensure alignment of testing activities with project timelines and objectives.
- Manage a team of testers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure effective test coverage and deliverables.
- Identify, document, and prioritize test scenarios, test cases, and test data to validate SAP system functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that testing aligns with business processes and objectives.
- Conduct defect management and tracking, including identifying, reporting, and retesting defects to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide regular test status updates, metrics, and reports to project stakeholders and leadership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes, tools, and methodologies within the SAP environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in SAP testing, with a focus on SAP implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules, business processes, and integration testing practices.
- Experience in leading and managing testing teams, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in test management tools, defect tracking systems, and test automation frameworks.
- Relevant certifications in SAP testing or quality assurance would be an advantage.
