The Role
We are seeking a Regional Marketing Specialist to drive marketing initiatives in APAC region. In this role, you will adapt global marketing strategies to meet local needs, collaborate with regional sales and customer engagement teams, and play a direct role in deepening our presence in the region. As a champion of the StarRez brand, you will not only help us create meaningful connections with prospects and customers but also ensure those connections result in measurable long-term growth for the business.

- Work Location: Melbourne, Hybrid
- Travel: 10-20% [The percent of travel is an estimation, and it could vary up or down based on business needs throughout the year.]
- Reporting Structure: Reports to the Manager, Events
What You Will Own
Own events and field marketing initiatives in the APAC region:
- Create, manage, drive, and report on the results of a comprehensive project workplan for industry events and customer events in the APAC region
- Track payments and expenses for APAC events & related regional paid placements
- Oversee research, selection, and contracting of vendors for off-site activities at APAC events and serve as their StarRez primary point of contact.
- Assist in integrating events with our global content marketing strategy to both deliver and capture content through APAC industry events and customer events.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Community Management to secure event speaking opportunities.
- Partner with the People Operations team to manage procurement, inventory, and fulfillment for StarRez swag and gifts throughout the APAC region.
Manage content and campaign localization for the APAC region:
- Modify relevant US-created assets for the local market to ensure relevance and resonance, and create net new region-specific materials as needed.
- Understand key product, brand, and messaging guidelines, ensuring they are reflected in all APAC content and event materials.
- Continually partner with the US-based Content & Create team for support where needed
- Participate in and inform the global integrated campaigns plan, ensuring that APAC-specific needs are incorporated and represented
Drive, measure, and refine demand generation efforts in the APAC region:
- Collaborate with the Demand Generation team to create adapt, repurpose, and execute targeted marketing programs in the APAC region.
- Collaborate with Sales in the APAC region to design and execute account-based marketing programs or tactics for high-value target accounts.
- Seek and work with industry organizations, local partners, and other stakeholders to enhance StarRez's presence in the APAC region.
- Monitor and report on the performance of regional campaigns, providing insights to the broader team and continually refining strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience managing industry tradeshow participation for multiple simultaneous events ranging in size from dozens to thousands of attendees.
- In-depth knowledge of experiential marketing best practices, including engagement tactics, conference logistics, venue & vendor management, and internal stakeholder management.
- Deep experience and passion for creating and contributing to written and video marketing content
- Proven experience in adapting and localizing global marketing strategies for a regional audience within the context of a broader integrated campaigns framework
- Excellent project management, organizational, and influence/persuasion skills.
- Proof points of creative problem-solving and a self-motivated, can-do attitude
- Well organized, highly-detail oriented and consistently reliable approach to work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing people without direct authority
- Experience in a fast-paced B2B SaaS or technology environment.
- Understanding of the higher education market in the APAC region
