Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chuukese Translator to support our growing language services team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in translating documents and/or spoken content from English to Chuukese and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and consistency with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate written documents from English to Chuukese and Chuukese to English.
- Ensure high-quality and culturally appropriate translations.
- Proofread and edit translations to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate with project managers and linguistic teams to meet deadlines and project requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of all translation work.
Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Chuukese and English.
- Proven experience in translation or interpretation, preferably in a professional or academic context.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with CAT tools is a plus.
- Certification or formal training in translation (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience translating legal, medical, technical, or governmental content.
- Experience working with translation agencies or language service providers.

Competitive rates, based on experience and project scope.
