Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Spanish Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong bilingual communication skills and be able to facilitate effective communication between Spanish-speaking clients and English-speaking professionals in various settings, including healthcare. This role requires a deep understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and the ability to interpret complex information accurately while maintaining confidentiality. This is a contract position and would be available on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate interpretation services for Spanish-speaking clients in medical and legal settings.
- Translate written documents and medical records as needed, ensuring clarity and precision in the conveyed information.
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication during patient assessments, consultations, and treatment plans.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while handling potentially sensitive or emotional situations with compassion and understanding.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus (multilingual candidates encouraged to apply).
- Proven experience in interpretation or translation, particularly in medical or social work environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation review processes.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Experience working in hospital settings or related fields is preferred.

Pay: $22.27 - $30.00 per hour
