Job description:
You will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication between Marshallese-speaking patients and healthcare providers. In this rewarding position, you will serve as a bridge, facilitating understanding and enabling patients to receive the care they need. It is essential that the candidate can understand and interpret a variety of medical-related terminology and be knowledgeable about various medical processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Answer calls in a professional manner.
- Customer service Skills.
- Be always prepared to take notes during a call.
- Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
- Participate in a in-house professional training.
- Communicate and report to your team leader.
- Provide accurate and impartial interpretation services during medical consultations, medical terminology, procedures, instructions, information between Marshallese-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals and other healthcare interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions
- Participate in workshops and coaching opportunities to enhance your interpreting skills
Qualifications:
- Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language (Marshallese).
- Speak Marshallese as your mother or main language
- Speak English in a C1 or higher level.
Requirements: Since this position is fully remote, you should comply with several technical requirements for your computer. We need to ensure that your home office will work effectively.
