iSEAO is developing an Augmented Artificial Intelligence software named iExpert. We are seeking individuals that are passionate about linguistics and language science to join our team as a Language Analyst.
Job Description
- Applying grammatical concepts, such as linguistic theories, in granular analysis of language
- Capturing essential dimensions of words and breaking sentences down into their key components
- Transforming these insights into analysis that can be applied consistently across a dataset
- Contribute to building a tailored corpus using bespoke tools
- Collaborating with team members to workshop and align your insights
- Working in an evolving environment, in which the methods and frame through which you are looking at language evolves with development priorities
Location
Our office is based in Wynyard, Martin Place. We are unable to offer this position remotely.
Working Hours
3 days per week, with a view to considering full-time employment.
This job may be a good fit if you:
- Study or have studied linguistics and/or a language related field
- Would like to develop skills in analysing data and can derive meaningful insights from linguistic data
- Have experience reading and understanding complex legal text
- Are proficient in Excel (i.e. pivots, Vlookup, etc.)
- Are enthusiastic and have a positive attitude towards learning on the job
- Possess great communication skills and can work effectively within a team as well as independently
- No experience requirements. We will consider applicants from a range of levels of experience
