Job Description
- Job type: Internship (3~6 months, negotiable)
- Location: Korea Church office
- Salary: Based on Church policies and procedures
- Deadline: April 12, 2026 *Korea time
- Starting date: July or August 2026 (Negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Assists the translation and interpretation team by providing administrative and logistical support for meetings, devotionals, and conferences.
- Researches, translates, reviews and edits Korean for Church magazines, manuals, churchofjesuschrist.org, Family Search, Seminary and Institute content and video subtitles/scripts
- Supports the preparation and organization of content for Church magazines, manuals, churchofjesuschrist.org, FamilySearch, and Seminary and Institute materials.
- Assists in coordinating translation projects by tracking progress, organizing files, and communicating with contractors and agencies.
- Provides support for audiovisual production projects by assisting with coordination, file preparation, and communication with contractors, agencies, and volunteers.
- Performs other administrative and project support tasks to help improve the efficiency of translation and publication processes.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid temple recommend (Required)
- Currently be enrolled in college or must have graduated within the last year
- Majored or skilled in Linguistics related field
- Experience of interpretation including volunteer works
- Excellent fluency of spoken and written English and Korean and excellent knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and syntax
- Effective research and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and people skills
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- You do not have to meet all of the above criteria to apply.
- Translation/Interpretation test may be required.
