Overview
We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in multiple languages and possess excellent communication skills. If you have a passion for languages and helping people bridge communication gaps, we want to hear from you.
Duties
- Interpret spoken language in real-time to facilitate communication between individuals who speak different languages
- Translate written documents from one language to another while maintaining the original meaning
- Provide interpretation services in various settings such as meetings, conferences, legal proceedings, medical appointments, and more
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all interpreted communications
- Adapt communication style to suit the needs of different audiences
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least two languages including English
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field preferred
- Certification in interpreting or translating is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cultural nuances and sensitivity when working with diverse populations
- Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) is advantageous
