Role
The role of Program Manager will involve all aspects of leading a strategic Project Management team for our Life Sciences customer base. The Program Manager will have a full understanding of each client’s overall business requirements, and proactively ensure that these are being fulfilled. The role requires innovative thinking and collaboration with internal technical, production, quality, language, and sales teams.
The Program Manager must demonstrate leadership and client facing skills, an ability to plan, and a detail-oriented project management focus. The successful candidate will have extensive experience providing business support, scoping client requirements, and implementing best practice for project delivery while ensuring client satisfaction for our life science business.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading, motivating and developing teams of focused committed project managers.
- Resource planning skills to ensure that the team is structured to meet both planned and unplanned peaks in demand for service
- Ability to give hands on support to the team during peak periods
- Client satisfaction ownership
- Setting goals and performance management process for all team members
- Working closely with the Director of Life Science and Sales to ensure the successful on boarding of new business opportunities
- Ensuring that all projects being managed by the team are delivered on time and within budget in accordance with client requirements
- Being the ultimate point of escalation for the client in addressing and resolving any issues that arise during any project
- Identification of new client opportunities and input into proposals and pricing strategies
- Reporting and managing the health of the program
- Reporting on the stability and growth potential of the program
- Driving continuous process improvement and establish standards of excellence within and across the operations team
- Use of business intelligence, quality & productivity metrics for continuous improvement
- Facilitating effective communication between all stakeholders
- Continually working with Supply Chain Management in planning and monitoring the supply and quality of external resources to meet the client’s requirements
- Working with Quality Management to ensure proper reporting and suitable actions are taken for any non-conformances that may arise
Requirements
- Extensive experience working in Life Sciences localisation (10 years or more)
- Proven senior project management expertise (7 years)
- Experience managing distributed and remote teams
- Excellent financial, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve and think strategically in a deadline driven environment
- Proven ability to deliver superior customer service at all times
- Knowledge of ISO standards 17100:2015, 18587:2017, 13485:2016, and 14971:2019
- Team player with proven leadership qualities
- Knowledge of localization tools, TMS systems, workflow and content management systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools will be essential
- Must be willing to sign customer specific NDAs
- Experience with pharmaceutical and clinical trial sectors a plus
