About the role
This is a 6-month Fixed term position based in Melbourne, VIC. You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our software testing initiatives.
What you'll be doing
- Define and implement test automation strategies to support the full software development lifecycle
- Oversee the design, development and maintenance of robust test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test cases
- Mentor and coach the test automation team, providing guidance on best practices and continuous improvement
- Analyse test results, identify bottlenecks and make recommendations to enhance the overall testing process
- Ensure timely delivery of test automation solutions and provide status updates to key stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the testing and quality assurance domain
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or equivalent
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# and familiarity with automation scripting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to optimize testing processes
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of test automation engineers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in the testing domain
