About The Role
We are looking for a highly organized LQA (Localisation Quality Assurance) Team Lead to oversee localization QA testing processes and ensure the highest quality standards for localized content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in localisation testing, team management, and a passion for delivering high-quality localized content. As an LQA Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating test plans, managing a team of LQA testers, ensuring that all localized content meets linguistic, cultural, and functional quality standards as well as managing schedules, allocating resources, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of LQA testers across multiple languages
- Develop and implement LQA test plans, workflows, and best practices
- Oversee the execution of linguistic, functional, and cosmetic testing of localized content
- Ensure linguistic consistency, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Be the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, updates, and feedback on LQA processes
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring the right allocation of testers for each project
- Organize and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality localized content
- Monitor and evaluate tester performance, providing guidance and feedback
- Track and report on LQA progress, issues, and resolutions
- Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new LQA team members
Requirements
- Experience in LQA, localization, or a related field, including coordination or leadership role
- Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with LQA tools, translation management systems, and bug-tracking software (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge: Understanding of linguistic nuances, cultural differences, and industry best practices in localization
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Localization, or a related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with game, software, or app localization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience in automation tools for LQA is a plus
