Rosetta Languages is recruiting Khmer simultaneous interpreters for in-person assignments in the Boston area.
Requirements:
- Solid skills in UN style simultaneous interpretation, both English>Khmer and Khmer>English.
- Must be able to commute to in-person assignments in Eastern Massachusetts.
- Experience with both in-person and virtual simultaneous interpretation, including having a professional setup for remote simultaneous (reliable internet connection, professional grade microphone headset, quite confidential workspace)
- Ability to respond to requests by email, text, and WhatsApp within 1 hour
- Willingness to go above and beyond to support customers and community members in events
- Warm and friendly personality, treats everyone with kindness and respect.
- Strong communication skills
- Professionalism (arrives 15 minutes before assignments, follows business-casual or formal dress code for all assignments)
Work is freelance as a 1099 contractor and there are no guaranteed hours. Pay rate is $100/hr for simultaneous and $75/hr for consecutive with a 2 hour minimum for both.
