Summary
As an Interpreter at the International Translation Company, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between parties who speak different languages. This position requires not only linguistic proficiency but also cultural awareness to ensure accurate interpretation of both spoken and unspoken nuances.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and clear interpretation services for clients in various settings.
- Translate spoken dialogue during meetings, conferences, and events.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity while interpreting to convey the intended message effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences for interpretation.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times during assignments.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in interpretation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least two languages; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong interpreting skills with the ability to convey messages accurately and effectively.
- Experience in translation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural contexts is essential.
