We are looking for a passionate Localization Project Manager to lead localization projects of varying complexity from inception to completion. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end localization process for diverse content types, including short- and long-form media, gaming, webcomics, software, and other media projects from clients around the globe. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with a broad network of partners and clients are critical for success in this position. Experience collaborating with international teams and a proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service are highly desirable. You will report directly to your regional US manager.
With excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and in-depth knowledge of content localization and its workflows, you will ensure that projects are optimized, thoroughly documented, systematically cataloged, and effectively maintained. You will collaborate extensively, demonstrate a sharp eye for innovation, and remain consistently motivated to address the challenges of localizing content on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Managing localization projects from beginning to end, working closely with clients, linguists, the TAD team, the Quality Enhancement team, external vendors, and other departments.
- Working closely with external and internal language service providers to ensure on-time, high-quality translation delivery.
- Developing and executing project plans and workflows, managing time, budget, resources, and quality control.
- Creating and managing internal versions of localization project plans and providing project-specific education to other teams, such as TAD and Quality Enhancement.
- Identifying and solving localization issues or disagreements, whether system- or product-related, identifying causes, and performing corrective/preventative actions.
- Leading project communication, resolving issues, and conducting post-mortems.
Requisitos
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in the localization industry.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Additional languages besides English are a plus (Korean and Spanish).
- Solid understanding of consumer expectations in the localization industry.
- Proficiency with CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ, Memsource).
- Prior experience managing and leading teams in the marketing or localization space.
