Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Translator/Interpreter to join our team on a part-time and fully-remote basis. The candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English. The candidate will be responsible for translating live telephone calls between the English-speaking attorney and his Spanish-speaking clients.
The candidate will only work for one (1) lawyer (i.e., the firm's founder). At a minimum, the candidate must be available two (2) days per week between 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST. During the candidate's shift, he or she must be available to answer the phone and translate telephone conversations with clients on short notice. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Translate live telephone calls between the English-speaking attorney and his Spanish-speaking clients;
- Be available and ready to answer the telephone on short notice during scheduled work hours; and
- Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism.
Experience:
- Fluent in both Spanish and English;
- Proven experience as a Translator/Interpreter or similar role;
- Strong verbal communication skills; and
- Familiarity with the U.S. legal system is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
