The role:
Looking for an experienced Program Manager with 10-15 years of experience in leading and managing large-scale ServiceNow implementations across CSM, DevX, ITSM, HRSD, and non-ITSM modules. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies, with hands-on experience in PPM tools, Agile 2.0, Jira, Scrum Board or Kanban Board for managing user stories and project workflows.
The candidate should have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams across India and on-site client locations. The role requires strong stakeholder management, governance, and delivery ownership to ensure successful project execution.
The general scope of the work for this position is as follows:
- Lead and manage ServiceNow project, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Drive execution across different methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Oversee backlog management, sprint planning, and milestone tracking using tools like PPM, Agile Board 2.0, or Jira or scrum or Kanban Board.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, risk management, and financial controls.
- Manage end-to-end project financials, resourcing, and budgeting.
- Oversee ServiceNow implementations for CSM, ITSM, HRSD, DevX, and non-ITSM modules.
- Work closely with solution architects and developers to ensure proper configurations and customizations.
- Ensure best practices for ServiceNow integrations with enterprise applications.
- Manage the impact of ServiceNow upgrades on customized functionalities.
- Manage teams across multiple locations, including India and client-site teams.
- Work with cross-functional teams involving business analysts, developers, testers, architects, and support teams.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Lead customer engagements, conduct status update meetings, risk assessments, and executive presentations.
- Implement and oversee Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and Waterfall project execution.
- Ensure teams follow Agile 2.0, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective best practices.
- Optimize workflows using Jira, Scrum and Kanban board toos.
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and stakeholder feedback loops.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 15-20 years of experience in IT program and project management.
- Extensive experience in ServiceNow (CSM, ITSM, HRSD, DevX, non-ITSM).
- Strong expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with PPM tools, Agile 2.0, Jira, Scrum and Kanban board.
- Proven experience in managing large teams (20+ members) across multiple locations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, governance, and cross-functional team leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives, business teams, and technical teams.
- Ability to drive global ServiceNow projects, ensuring smooth coordination between India and on-site client teams.
- PMP, SAFe Agile, ITIL, or ServiceNow certifications (preferred).
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP or PRINCE2
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agile
- ITIL or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) will be an add on
