What We Need
2K Korea is seeking an Associate Manager, Social & Community Marketing to support our efforts in social media engagement, community building, and influencer marketing for our console titles in the Korean market.
This role is ideal for someone who understands Korea's gaming community, stays up to date with local social media and influencer trends, and has experience in community engagement.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to help grow 2K's presence in Korea by fostering strong player communities to promote our games.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Community Engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to grow 2K Korea's individual official social channels (YouTube, Instagram).
- Engage with players, foster a strong community, and monitor sentiment to improve engagement strategies.
- Plan the content creation strategy including content creation, community activations, localization and milestone, ensuring messaging resonates with the Korean audience.
- Collaborate with marketing, PR, and other internal teams to align community initiatives with broader brand strategies.
Data-Driven Analysis & Insights
- Analyze key community engagement metrics, content performance, and social sentiment trends.
- Identify and explain spikes, downturns, and shifts in player engagement, using both data and experience-driven intuition.
- Connect key activations (e.g., influencer campaigns, content drops, in-game events) to measurable community responses.
Social Listening & Sentiment Analysis
- Monitor discussions across gaming forums, social media, and other digital platforms.
- Provide regular reports on player sentiment, emerging trends, and potential risks or opportunities.
Influencer market landscape
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with Korean gaming influencers, streamers, and content creators to amplify 2K's brand reach.
- Plan and implement influencer campaigns, ensuring brand alignment and engagement maximization.
- Collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to drive effective influencer activations.
- Track influencer performance and analyze community engagement data to optimize future campaigns.
- Negotiate partnerships and sponsorships to maximize ROI on influencer collaborations.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in community management or social media within the gaming industry.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting data, identifying patterns, and drawing insights from social metrics and engagement data.
- Ability to connect activations with performance metrics, explaining community trends based on both hard data and industry experience.
- Passion for gaming and deep understanding of the Korean gaming ecosystem, including player behaviors and community expectations..
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with Korean online communities, influencer marketing and content creator partnerships, entertainment cultures (K-pop, webtoons / web novels, etc.)
- Proficiency in Korean and English (written and spoken)
